The 21st of September saw us take on Dover Athletic, at home, in our second game of the FA Youth Cup.

Back off of a 5-2 win against Chatham Town a few weeks prior, the boys were hungry for the win.

A closely contested first half saw both teams play some outstanding football but saw us head into the break 0-1 down, with a serious knee injury sustained by C Wright and one of the best crossbar saves we’ve ever seen by J Glassborow.

With F Little coming on in place of Wright, the game began to turn with both teams scoring in the second half, however both goals were disallowed.

With a penalty then awarded to Dover we saw Glassborow step up yet again, and make that all important save, instantly changing the shape of the game in our favour.

J Lyons scored his first screamer bringing the score to 1-1 in front of a roaring home crowd of 108 spectators. This was shortly followed by another Lyons howler.
