On 27th September, Scholars squad 1 made the trip to the new stomping ground at Snodland FC to take on Soccer Elite FA in their first league game of the campaign.

This fixture is always a brilliant affair with both sides boasting fantastic players, putting on technical displays. 

The opening parts of the game were really scrappy, end to end, long ball stuff until 10 minutes in when a slick move found us down the flank to which a cut in from the left hand side and trip meant a penalty to our lads.

Lyons calmly stepped up and rolled it into the corner to put the boys 1-0 up.

From then on in it was fairly one way traffic with 2 more goals coming before half time. Cook, striking from distance, finding the bottom corner and the pick of the bunch, a ball whipped in from the right hand side with Massood back heeling the ball mid air through the keepers legs to make it 3.

The second half was much more like it with slick passing moves and dangerous counter attacks which saw a further 4 goals come our way. 2 fairly routine goals putting Cook and Massood both at 2 goals each and then both lads securing their hattricks with Massood chipping the keeper from 30 yards and Cook looping a ball over the keeper into the roof of the net from practically the corner flag.

Kirkby bossed the game in the heart of the team spraying balls side to side and slipping in inch perfect passes to pick up assists.

Defensively the lads where superb and going forward - unstoppable.
