After a fine performance in last week's national cup fixture, our Scholars squad 1 unfortunately couldn't continue their good form against Premier League outfit West Ham United.

Heres what academy manager Henry Muggeridge had to say on the performance: 'It's disapointing that we couldn't follow up the last 2 results and make it 3 wins in a row, as the lads have been working hard and putting in some great performances recently. Ultimately the reason a lot of the lads are with us and not at professional clubs is because they lack consistency, and this is something we believe will come over time as they continue their daily training programme with us.'

The Scholars squad 1 have been drawn at home to Whitstable Town in the next round of the national cup.
