Scholars held at Hitchin

On Wednesday 16th March our Scholars made their longest journey of the season, as we travelled to Hertfordshire to face Hitchin Town.

This tough encounter was made tougher, as we were missing key players including Tristan Azevedo and Mo Hassan. Although we dominated possession throughout the game, we weren't ruthless enough in key areas, something the boys will be working on this week as we look to get back to winning ways.

Academy coach Teddy Bloor had this to say on the display: 'We weren't at our best today, no doubt about it, but sometimes you just have to accept it isn't going to be your day, and respect the point. A massive positive this season for us has been Kian Simmons, and today was no different, he marshalled his back 4 well throughout, and ensured that although we couldn't nick a goal, we weren't going to give one away either.'

Squad:

Brown, Dennis, Mayo, Simmons, Cosser, Kirkby, Joy (Larter 80), Anderson, Abbas, Chakarov, Dungate (Petrovski 70), subs not used: Walker.

MOTM- Simmons

Next week we welcome West Ham in the SCL league, whilst squad 2 welcome Pro direct this Friday.
