On a sunny afternoon we took the trip over to Sutton to face them in the league. 

Knowing the league, although almost impossible, is still up for grabs, we knew the boys had to start fast… and fast they did.

B. Cook opened the scoring with a sublime finish past the keeper 5 minutes in and a further 3 hit the net in as many minutes coming from A.Joy, M. Davidge and H. Oyediran.

The lads didn’t take their foot of the pedal as the clock hit 20 when J.Williams and N.Kirkby also got themselves on the scoresheet. 20 minutes, 6 goals and 6 different scorers, we knew we had a chance to break club records! Cook and Williams added another goal to their tally and T. Jeffrey got in on the act before Cook completed his hat-trick and rounded off an extremely dominant first half.

HALF TIME - 10-0

The second half began and the boys picked up where they left off with Cook scoring inside 45 seconds of the restart curling a ball into the side netting leaving the keeper with no hope.

The one way traffic continued for the foreseeable as Joy completed his hat-trick, as did Williams and S. Chakarov got himself a couple and only one player got the rest….

An extremely dominant performance with some fantastic football and goals on show, this result certainly puts the league on notice but credit to Sutton for staying in there. The boys will look to continue the surge for the title however 2nd is not bad going if it ends that way!
