Scholars at Selhurst Park

The scholars were out for revenge after narrowly loosing in the final last time out. A great reward for our scholars who had a fantastic season- what better way to sign off with some silverware!

The lads kicked the tournament off in fine fashion putting the sword to their opponents in a dominant display.

It seemed the lads were in a ruthless mood beating their opponents 2-0 in their second game with a Massood masterclass. A goal and assist for the young starlet left us top of the group with no way to finish second.

Our final group game saw a much rotated side against a physical Faversham strike force side. Unfortunately, the lads lost out but redemption was on the cards as the boys had an hour wait to make things right. With Faversham finishing second with that win, it meant we would face them in the final.

The final came around and the boys meant business. With a lot of information given, the main thing taken away from the team talk was to enjoy it, and don’t leave Selhurst Park without a trophy. And it seemed the advice was very much taken on board. A ruthless performance in which youth prevailed over experience.

2-0 winners and the scholars left, deservedly so, with the cup!
