At the end of June we flew to Barcelona with our U17 and U19 scholars to take part in the Copa Catalunya 2025 Cup!

The weather was extremely hot with temperatures over 35 degrees, making for gruelling conditions to play in. The boys did not let that hold them back though and flew through game after game. By day 3 our U17s finished top of their group and progressed to the semi finals and by day 4 our U19s did exactly the same!

The U17s COPA campaign came to an end in the quarter finals with a 2-2 result against NAGC Sardegna who won 5-4 on penalties. A phenomenal run for the younger boys and a first European tour for many of them. 

The U19s made it through the quarters to the semi final against Combinado Bizkaia but bowed out of the competition with a 1-1 result with our opponents winning 9-8 on penalties.

Such close results with the final in touching distance for the boys.

Overall, an incredible week in the sun for our scholars experiencing the highs and lows of European competition. Copa Catalunya Cup is a huge tournament with over 210 teams from across the world!

Huge well done to all our boys for giving it their all and doing us proud!
