On 10th July 2025, an 18 strong EMC squad and 6 members of staff flew across the Atlantic to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The anticipation was heavy, this tour had been over a year in the making.

The Target USA Cup is the largest international youth soccer tournament in the Western Hempisphere. Over 16,000 players from across the USA and the rest of the world take part every year. It's huge.

To date, there's no documented case of the same English team winning both titles in the same year. English entries in the USA Cup are relatively infrequent and almost exclusively involve school or youth club teams. They’ve occasionally succeeded in the Weekend Cup but have not gone on to win in the Weeklong Tournament in those same years.

EMC Academy made 2025 the year to break the mould, winning both the Weekend Cup and the Week Cup.
